The TT (Tourist Trophy) in Assen is an annual motor race on the Circuit of Drenthe near Assen in the Dutch province Drenthe. From 2016, the TT Assen will be held on the final Sunday in June, whereas previously it was held traditionally on the final Saturday of June. All Grand Prix classes are dealt with. Because of the decrease in the number of classes these currently are Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP. Before, 50 cc/80 cc, 125 cc, 250 cc, 350 cc, 500 cc, and sidecars took part in this. The sidecar class has been held on the day of the races for several years, but it is not part of the Grand Prix anymore.
Prior to the Dutch TT there are several training days and qualification races for good starting positions. During the week before the race day the so-called SPEEDWEEK is held in Assen, in which several aspects of the motorsport can be viewed. Furthermore there is a fair and the three-day TT Festival, during which you can visit the TT Night.
